Second, pretreatment is essential. Newly opened activated carbon may be contaminated with dust or impurities. Before use, it is recommended to rinse it several times with clean water until the water is clear. If used in a precision filtration system, soak it in a low-concentration acid or alkali solution to remove metal ions, then rinse it with pure water until neutral.
Finally, manage usage and replacement intervals appropriately. For water treatment, the recommended dosage is 50-100 grams of activated carbon per ton of water. For air purification, the dosage should be adjusted based on the space, generally around 500 grams per 10 square meters. Activated carbon has a limited adsorption capacity.
